Q: Where are my recipes stored?
A: Your recipes are stored in a file named MacGourmet3Database. This file is usually found in your Documents folder unless you chose another location for it the first time you ran MacGourmet.
If you purchased MacGourmet from the Mac App Store, you’ll find your database file in your Library > Application Support > MacGourmet folder.
If you purchased MacGourmet Deluxe from the Mac App Store, you’ll find your database file in your Library > Application Support > MacGourmet Deluxe folder.
You should back up this file regularly, preferably to your MobileMe account, or to a CD or USB drive.
Note: You cannot move this file without updating Advanced Preferences, and you cannot rename this file. If you do either of these the application will not be able to find your database and will try and create a new one.
