Q: How do I backup my recipes?
A: Your database is a file named MacGourmet3Database.mgdatabase, and if you are using the version or MacGourmet purchased from MacGourmet.com, of MacGourmet Deluxe purchased from Mariner Software’s web site, it’s located in your Documents folder, if you use the default location, or in the location you choose to create it the first time you ran the application.
If you purchased MacGourmet from the Mac App Store, you’ll find your database file, by default, in your Library > Application Support > MacGourmet folder.
If you purchased MacGourmet Deluxe from the Mac App Store, you’ll find your database file, by default, in your Library > Application Support > MacGourmet Deluxe folder.
It’s always a good idea to keep a backup of this file, ideally on a CD or another Mac in case your hard drive fails.
